Having experience in graphic design can always give you some extra points either if you want to apply for university abroad, either if you want to get some extra money by being a freelancer.
Or even if you don’t want to be freelancer or you don’t want to apply for university, in order to get a better paid job you need to have some experience.
So, what can you do when you have to get some experience?

1. Volunteer
It’s a great way to start your career. Of course, you could ask why?
Because you can get graphic design experience. How?
Simple. Join a local NGO and besides the volunteering work you’re doing try and see if they need help with their logo or image.
It’s a simple way and good way to start your career. It might take you long to learn how to create or design things, but you might find someone with more experience in the NGO and that person might guide you.
2. Get an internship
If you want a more formal experience you can try an internship to a local company. Usually, an internship doesn’t require experience in the field, because you are going there to learn.
An internship can last from 1 to 3 months, but it is really up to you and the person under whose supervision you’re going to work.
Also, another important factor can be your determination and perseverance you show.
If you are a good match with the team, and you are determinated and performant the internship could easily transform in a job offer.
Anyway, make sure that everything you work or create you keep it in a portfolio. It could be useful for the feature.
