The whole process of casting has a lot of steps in order to get the final product. The process is a long one.
The first thing you need is a factory, also known as ‘foundry’.
What happens in this foundry?
In the foundry the metals are melted and casted in different shapes. Foundry is more like the place where everything which involves castings happens.
In a foundry you can find many other machines or things which help the castings come to life.
For example, a furnace is necessary in order to melt the iron. The iron must be melted in order to be able to cast it.
This is called the melting process. After the melting, the metal is put into a mold, where it can take several forms, depending on what is needed the metal for.
After the molding is done, and the new pieces of metal are done, they are usually transported to the retail company.
At the retail company, the products are taken care of, making sure that they meet all the quality requirements.
Back in the past, all the processes were conducted in a manual way, no machines were used even for the finishing stage of the casting process.
Nowadays, every foundry has different machines which ease the process and also they are ‘green’.
It’s important to keep this green aspect in mind, because the waste which remains after a process of casting, can be harmful for the nature.
Also, the law enforces every company to respect certain rules when it comes to the green space, especially if the company has activity in an area which can harm the environment.
However, we at Brockmoor Castings, we make sure that every criteria is met. We respect the environment, and we want to provide qualitative products when it comes to satisfying our customers’ need.
